First Time

Welcome to Boulder Bloc!

Whether it’s your first time climbing, or you are looking to expand your climbing skill-set, we are stoked to be a part of your journey! Boulder Bloc is a place to train, hang out, and simply have a good time. Doesn’t matter if you’re on or off the walls!

What is Bouldering?

Bouldering is a social, ever-growing style of rock climbing. Climbers do not use ropes or harnesses but scale walls that are lower to the ground (15ft in our case), and are protected by a thick, padded mat when descending or falling.

What do I need to Boulder?

Bouldering is awesome for many reasons, one of them being that it is a very low-maintenance sport. You don't need to bring anything with you but some comfortable clothes for your best mobility on the wall, good vibes (our requirement), and climbing shoes if you have them!

If you don't have climbing shoes, no worries! We rent shoes at the front desk for all our Day Pass visitors.

What should I expect walking in?

As a first-time visitor, we will ask you to sign a quick waiver upon arrival to get you set up in our system. You can do this at the facility or you can sign the waiver online before arrival to save you more climbing time!

Afterwards, all the gym amenities, including our Kilter Board, Treadwall and Fitness area are available for your enjoyment! We will be happy to show you how to use them!

Note on safety

As fun as bouldering is, it can also be a dangerous sport. Our priority is to keep our visitors and climbers safe, so we have rules we enforce to ensure the well-being of those in our gyms. Everyone in our facility is expected to follow our rules.

If we see you standing, climbing, or walking under another climber, or running anywhere in our facility, we will remind you that this is unsafe and dangerous to both you and those climbing in the gym. All minors must be accompanied by an adult during their climbing session.
